The Affect of Partially Hepatectomized Rat Serum on Proliferation of Blood Cells

Abstract
|
|
|
The proliferative changes of blood cells were studied in rats following injection of various concentrations of serum from partially hepatectomized or sham operated rats. The total doses of introperioreally administered serum were 3 cc(A group), 4 cc(B group), and 0.7 cc(C group).
Both red and white blood cells were markedly decreased following injections with high concentrations of serum(A and B group) but incereased when a low concentration, (C group) was injected. The proliferative changes in the rats which received the sham operated rat serum, showed a similar trend but was less pronounced.
